Essie Silver Nail Polish & nail art

This is one of my holiday or vacation nails. I don't usually wear this to everyday work, I am not going for some party. I was so glad I found these nail polish on clearance in Target.

I always wanted a peacock blue green glitters for top coat, and found one from Sally Hansen collection. I didn't know the nails would look pretty with this combination.

Essie's Ignite the Night is a silver shade with dense glitters. I wanted to add some colors to it, hence the green-blue coating at the edge. I loved having it on my nails for a week.

Only regret is removal, I had to use remover soaked cotton wrapped in silver foil twice without making a mess.

You could try any silver shade with similar top coat.

L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Le Vernis - Blue Reef (613) on dark Indian skintone

Today has been the most active blogging day in a long time and I am glad. I do not want to fall asleep over it though, the weather is cozy and tells me to go to bed , which I would prefer but only after I finish some posts :) That now sounds like a plan.

L'Oreal Paris Blue Reef shade is one that I bought when I went crazy over their collection earlier this year. It's a teal blue color, which I was hesitant to buy. But after I tried it on with little nail art I can't say it's forbidden for dark skin tone girls. It's a beautiful color, apply a shiny top coat and enjoy the nail color.

Loreal Paris Nail Polish for Indian Skintone

I became the fan of Loreal Paris Nail polishes earlier this year not until then. Once I liked couple of colors I went crazy all over it, and bought several colors on Flipkart for discounted price. I wouldn't say it as dirt cheap price still I would pat myself for 30% off of MRP.

The quantity is only 5 ml. It's original price was 250/- now available for less price on Flipkart / Jabong.

I hope you enjoy the colors. I just did my nails, and didn't wash before taking pictures, I apologize my cuticle isn't at their best in the below shots :) This would give you an idea before making your purchase or decide which one you would want.

Some interesting purchase from the latest Holiday Collection of MAC. Very colorful, really enchanting. I bought a face palette, lipstick, lip bag and Eye Pencil. I will soon post pictures of me wearing it. Enjoy the swatches for now !!!!

Beautiful color that glides on smoothly with tiny glitters.

MAC Matte finish Evening Rendezvous shade is deep reddish Purple. This looks exactly as described on fare skin tone. On medium to deep it looks more of purple. I already have a similar shade from MAC 'Own the look'. I just loved the tube, and bought this as gift for my lovely sister.

MAC Red Lip Bag - Swatch looked gorgeous on NC45/NC43 skintone. The Bag contains a lipstick, lip glass and lip pencil. The cosmetic bag is a nice add on to this.  It comes with the following:

Lip pencil - Beet

Lipstick - Pretty Irresistible (Matte) - Red lipstick was raspberry red, I can't wait to wear it. :) :)

Lip glass -  A Favorite Flame - Same color as the lipstick

Priced at $39.50

Pretty Irresistible lipstick is of matte finish, very different from All Fired Up. I am not sure if this lipstick and lip glass is available for individual sale, the label from this kit clearly states it's not meant for individual sale.

I know I am just going to love this palette. Comes with three eye shadows, two lipsticks, couple of blushes. Priced at $49.50 . This is travel friendly. The eye shadows are neutral and the Rebel Lipstick with the Rosy Colored Blush from MAC, couldn't ask for more.

Estee Lauder Nail Lacquer - Smashed on Indian skintone

I have been wanting to write several posts for few months still inching towards the goal. Haven't been able to find time and peace of mind to prepare the collage and write them. 

I had the urge to try some Estee Lauder nail polishes but I couldn't find them or get hold of one from a mall in my place. My wish came true this July and instantly fell in love with this beautiful color. It's called Smashed, deep purple with glitters not very prominent though. 

It was priced at $21.00 then, I totally get it buying a nail polish for that amount when compared in Indian Currency is sheer madness. I picked up two shades though, the other one is Enchanted Garnet.

The purple color nail polish did it's job and looked beautiful on my medium - deep skin tone. 

One other thing about this nail polish is the bottle Muah ! 

MAC Magic of the Night Collection - what to expect !!!!

Hi Sweet ladies !!!

Many must have started looking for swatches and suitable products for medium to deep skin tone. I am excited about their new collection too. I didn't pay much attention to the email I received from MAC as I have subscribed for updates. But when I received the product launch announcement by Macys in a mail yesterday, I couldn't hide my excitement.

The product catalog was attractive and intriguing. I realized they were already in stores such as MAC, Macys, Nordstorm, Dillards etc. I did come across some posts with swatches, and kind of helped me what to expect and buy. I have tried to put together a list of items that might be suitable for medium to dark skin tone girls. The product collection includes everything from face makeup palette, lip, eye, highlights, makeup brushes with bag etc.  

Although I have several makeup brushes, I was highly tempted to get hold of them along with a face palette. All these were great gift sets. I already bought one for my sister earlier this year from their  'Look in the Box' Set.

MAC Lipstick Instigator Swatch and look on NC45

Hello girls,

I am so happy to be able to write posts again, I was extremely busy and slowly resuming my old writing pace.

I am starting with the shade Instigator from my recent swatches. It's a 'Deep Blackened Plum' color; this is how MAC describes it. The first look of the lipstick from tube gives a scary feeling phew I might not wear this , Who would wear this? Nooooooooooo. Trust me, it's a beautiful shade when applied on a single swipe. The color intensity can be built with multiple swipes which I do not prefer.

The formula is Matte and has a long staying power. It might be dry on dry chapped lips do wear lip balm underneath if you have dry lips.

I bought this for $16 and currently MAC has increased it by a dollar and selling it for $17 in US, not sure about India Price.

This shade looks well on all skin tone. Olive / dusky skin tone girls can go for it. Everyone should have one dark color lipstick in their collection. Hope you like the post.

MAC Matte Lipstick Collection 2015 - Swatches on NC45 - Olive Skintone

Hello Girls,

I am back with a backlogged post, which I should have posted months ago. This time it's MAC's raved new Matte lipsticks during this spring. Lovely shades and I liked most of them but picked four out of it. They are priced at $17 and have their signature Vanilla fragrance out of tube.

All the shades I picked would work very well with Medium to deep Indian Skin tone. I am like NC45 olive skintone.

MAC All Fired Up - It's retro matte (very dry) and described as Bright Fuchsia which is right but pink/red mixture a pretty color for all skin colors although the outcome would vary from person to person.

MAC D for Danger is a Red lipstick with tint of orange to it. It's matte but not too dry like All fired up. Picture soon....

Flat out fabulous is another favorite of mine, it's retro matte, bright plum+fuchsia mix a cool color. Good summer wear.

MAC describes this as deep blackened plum with a mix of wine/burgundy on it. Don't be afraid of the color from the tube, the actual color pay off on lips are good. It would look different on different skin tone. On me it looked nice and people at work even complimented me. Pictures coming soon.

My New MAC Lipstick Collection Spring 2015

Hello Friends,

It's been a while since I last posted something, I just got busy with travel and work. I am posting some of the lipstick I bought here in US in the last couple of months all from their new collection for this spring. I will post separate post on the items from Fall collection. This really excites me.

I will share the swatches with you, and soon post pictures of me wearing them. I have to transfer the pictures and write details of it, can't wait to do it....will follow soon.
