Revlon Lip Butter - Blueberry Pie (007) Swatch Review on deep skintone

I have recently come across Revlon lip butter and ordered some shades online. Looks like they have been in market for quite sometime now. Some of the shades I liked are not available anymore. I am still on hunt for Raspberry Pie, Lollipop and Wild Watermelon.

In this post I am posting swatches of Blueberry Pie #007. I ordered through flipkart with some good discount. They are priced at approx 700 to 750 at different websites. I got mine for 675!

The color is a beautiful warm pinky plum shade. The lipstick tube is beautiful. I liked the formula by looking at the product from the tube. It's really truly buttery. When swatched it just looks like tinted lipbalm. The color is buildable though. This color would vary on different skintone.

 On deep skintone like mine it looks little dull. I wouldn't mind wearing this is as a tinted lip color as casual wear. I love wearing bold colors. I am NC45 but I have gone dark in the last one month and am working on improving the heavy tan and changed skin color. Will share the experience soon.

The color stays on only for couple of hours. I wouldn't call it a lipstick but tinted lip balm. Would I buy this shade again ? No - but something different.

Guerlain Kiss Kiss Roselip Balm - Crazy Bouquet swatch review on NC45 Indian Skin

This is the second most expensive tinted lip balm that I laid my hands on during last summer and I never had time to sit down and post some pictures about it.

I was only too anxious to try this collection ever since I received the newsletter. The pictures of the product was captivating and so the details.

What it is:
A hydrating and plumping tinted lip balm.

What it does:
This Fall, Guerlain introduces Bloom of Rose, an unexpected, versatile, and ultra-feminine lip collection. Inspired by the natural beauty of the rose, the KissKiss Roselip offers the season’s must-have hues—from charming red to romantic pink shades. Each lip formula is enriched with rose oil extract to hydrate and plump lips, and the balmy texture of this lipstick leaves lips with a light and delicate look. This hydrating and plumping, tinted balm is encased in an irresistible white lacquer case so that it’s the ultimate fashion accessory.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
Guerlain imagines KissKiss Roselip, its first hydrating and plumping colored lip balm infused with essential oil of rose. Subtly colored, the lips are adorned with a soft and natural-looking glow. KissKiss Roselip offers six shades for naturally irresistible lips, inspired by the delicate hues of fresh roses.

I got mine from Sephora, and is priced at $37.00. The package is pretty irresistible like their other collection; all in white with golden logo embossed on the cap. I had never seen or tried Guerlain products before. 

There were only a couple of shades suitable for deep skintone and I went with Crazy Bouquet. Even though it looks very bright and red in the tube it's sheer on lips. I had mine on with few swipes and build the color. I totally loved wearing it. I could have a whiff of rose each time I open the tube and while applying which disappears soon. The glossy shine wears off in less than an hour. It's deeply moisturizing and light on lips. 

 Crazy Bouquet is  a beautiful bright red color, it looks like coral red in the tube and it just looks fine on my NC45 skin. I usually stay away from coral and peach shades but this one was an exception.

 
I went back and bought Wonder Violette R374 as a gift for my sister and she adored it.

I probably won't buy the same again as it has less wear time and way too expensive besides the product gets over soon.

Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Sheer Candy Glossy Balm - Mouthwatering Berry on NC45/medium deep skintone

This has been the most expensive Lip Balm that I have ever paid in my life. I always wanted to have one of those lipsticks from YSL but didn't find a right shade when I visited Sephora so ended up buying this lip balm. This is one among the top rated lip balms, I patted and convinced myself with all good reasons for what I paid the big price.

These are priced at $37 in US not sure if they are available in India, if yes I haven;t found a place Bangalore/Chennai. I would be glad if someone could help me with the locations.

I was awed by the case probably I will preserve it lol. It looks classy with the logo and the color code embossed. Everything has a price, and it's all gorgeous because of the hefty price tag.

Mouthwatering berry is numbered 5, product appears as the same color on the tube. It;s sheer when applied. It's highly moisturizing and has a fruity smell to it. Only disappointment is their staying power, the glossiness fades quickly and the color lasts only for couple of hours without any food or drink. I always carry this around in my purse and the tube is almost empty. If you use this regularly won;t last for more than few months.

I would rate this is 3.5 due to the big cost. Would I buy it again, Definitely yes but a different one.

 

 

MAC Lipstick Flat Out Fabulous Swatch review on deep indian skintone / NC 45

Mac has launched / relaunched several Matte lipsticks during 2015 summer. It's been over a since I bought this but didn't find time to post pictures.

MAC describes this lipstick as Bright Plum Matte and this is a Retro Matte lipstick. It's priced at $17 for 3g and being added to their permanent line.

Speaking about the lipstick it;s beautiful; bright pinkish purple color, very much summery. This color suits deep to medium skin tone girls however the final look vary from person to person. As the formula is retro matte it's very dry and not suitable for dry lips. You can always exfoliate your lips, condition them and wear this lipstick. I use to wear lip balm underneath to prevent the dry feel. They stay all day long without the need for touch up. For best results apply using a lip brush.

Pair it with MAC Pro Long wear lip pencil Fashion boost. It's the exact color as the lipstick. Ah yes it has got that delicious Vanilla fragrance.

 

MAC Matte Lipstick All Fired Up Swatch on Medium Deep indian skintone / NC45 / NC43

MAC launched this pretty color in 2015 summer. There were plenty of colors but I bought three of them. I simply fell in love with this color.

All Fired Up is a retro matte lipstick and MAC refers this as Bright Fuschia Matte. It's obviously fuschia but with bit of red to it. I liked MAC's Ruby woo, and hence went ahead and grabbed this. The formula is very dry and has to be applied using a lip brush. You might want to condition your lip or use lip balm underneath. They settle in lines, and might not be suitable for dry lips. I must say this is a gorgeous shade.

This is now part of MAC's permanent line. It's priced at $17 of course several hundred bucks less when compared to India Price. It stays on me for 5 - 6 hours and sufficient for entire work time.

The appearance vary from light skin tone to deep skin tone.  I love to wear this for photos.

 

MAC Mineralize Rich Lipstick - Labradorable swatch review - NC45/NC43 Indian Skintone

I have already reviewed three lipsticks from this range. I got to buy their new addition to this collection from 'MAC Haute Dogs'. Looks like MAC has added this to their permanent line as it;s still available in MAC Website.

Labradorable is a beautiful Deep Wine color. Goes wear very well on medium-deep skintone girls. Lipstick formula moisturizes the lip and leaves your lips hydrated. Good color pay off when applied well, In the pictures below I have applied lightly and pressed my lips together. I will try to post another picture soon. They have MAC's signature vanilla smell, and I love the lipstick tube.

They are priced at $23 at the moment. I am not sure about the availability in India. This is a great color to wear to work.

 Please excuse my eye liner, my first trial on applying liner using angled brush.

MAC Pearlglide Eye Liner - Undercurrent swatch on Indian Skintone

"An eye pencil that provides rich, luxurious colour with a touch of shimmer and sparkle" 

A teal with pearl is how this pencil being described by MAC. Highly pigmented, smooth on application, full of shimmers. The buttery soft texture makes the application easier, and it's opaque. The wear time is long even in hot weather. I had mine on for one full day till I removed my makeup. It sits comfortably on the upper lash and I wouldn't use this on the water line.

 Price $16.50 bit expensive

MAC Huggable Lipcolor collection review - 2015 - Swatches on NC45 Indian skintone

I was only too happy when I received the newsletter about this launch during fall 2015. I wanted to buy these in 2014 fall but they went out of stock. This time I ensured I get my hands on few colors the day they hit MAC stores and I bought 4 shades which I would be posting swatches and pictures here in this post.

They were priced at $20 each. Mac do not call this product as lipsticks but lipcolor. As the name suggests the formula is like Gel. In simple words I would put it as highly pigmented lip balm. Color payoff is opaque and clings on to lips, which is light and non drying. It has the glossy shine to it which wears off soon. Most shades from this collection goes with Indian skin-tone.

Only disappointment is the wear time. It only lasts for 2 - 3 hours as they transfer while sipping or having any drink.  I love this package it's sleek and cool unlike regular black tubes.

MAC Vamplify Lipglass on NC45 / NC43 / Deep Skintone girls

Something from 2015 fall collection, I am once again late to post this however had the pictures last September. As some of the products are still available in MAC stores these swatches might be helpful for some girls out there. 

This collection had quite a few cool colors for deep skintone girls like me; This include several neutral shades, pink, red, wine. I wouldn't recommend coral, bubblegum pink, hot pink. The colors aren't scary as the name implies. I am posting swatches and pictures of the beautiful colors from this collection.

1. Suggestive - Intense blue red
2. Peer Pressure - Intense red burgundy
3. What's Going On - Hot intense fuchsia

Speaking of the formula they are non sticky unlike their other lip glasses from MAC. All the colors are highly pigmented and just one swipe is more than sufficient. I do not have to have my hair tied up or pulled back. Color stays on for good 4 - 5 hours. It can be best worm when paired with a lip pencil. I am wearing just the lip glass in the below pictures.

MAC Cremesheen Pearl Collection Lipstick - swatch on Indian Skin

Lipsticks from this collection has some nice colors. They are creamy lipsticks with pearlized pigments and a moisturizing blend. This collection not only had lipsticks but also some nice lipglasses to go along. I am posting pictures from two lipsticks Pickled Plum and Sweet Sakura.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Pickled Plum Swatch

 It's a bright blue pink. Looks little pale on NC45 dusky skin tone yet pretty. I enjoyed wearing this color with or without makeup. It's a perfect summer shade.

MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Sweet Sakura Swatch

This one is described as 'True Red with Soft Gold Pearl' by MAC. It's creamy and smooth on application. Decent color payoff neither drying nor hydrating. The color is not exactly red but little bright  on dusky skin tone. I had prep-ed my skin and applied little makeup so this color would pop.

MAC M.A.Cnificent Me Collection 2015 for NC45 / Deep skintone

MAC MACnificent collection was launched during 2015 Fall. The lipsticks are still available in stores. I bought their eye shadow palette and couple of lipsticks of different formula. Below are the official pictures from this campaign.

MAC Mattene Lipstick - Semi Mat - Own the Look Swatch Review

As the name describes it's a semi matte lipstick. MAC describes the color as Deep Intense purple and "A moisturizing matte lipstick that delivers a creamier, softer, glide-on application". The package is slightly different than other lipstick tube, it's long and sleek non slippery tube. The color pay off is good and it didn't dry my lips. It stayed on my lips for good 5 hours without food, leaving a faint purple stain afterwards. I didn't had to reapply though. Below are some of the pictures of the package and swatch.

Color suits medium - deep skin tone very well.

  MAC M.A.C.nificent Me Lipstick Fashion Revival Swatch Review

Priced at $17 Fashion Revival lipstick is described as "deep raspberry" with semi-matte finish. Application is smooth with light creamy texture. Color do not exactly look red on deep skin tone, looks a little pink on me. 

This lipsticks come on regular tube, and has their signature vanilla smell. Well pigmented and stays for good 5 to 6 hours. Doesn't seem heavy on lips or give the dry matte feel.

Unfortunately it's a limited edition and no longer available. Not sure if MAC would bring it back.

Lipsticks from MAC Veluxe A Trois Collection - On Indian Skin

MAC Veluxe A Trois Collection lipstick was launched 2015 summer. I am late with this post. Just wanted to post the swatches and the look on NC45 / Olive skin tone if someone want to browse through.

This Collection had eye makeup, lip glasses, Mascara and lipsticks. I bought couple of lipsticks from this collection as the third on went out of stock.Review is on Cremesheen Lipstick Flowerscope and Quelle Surprise. I very much would have liked to own Heux, unfortunately it wasn't available.

Price $17.00

Formula is moisturizing, and smooth on application. These are sheen on application might have to apply few swipes. Even though they are cremesheen they provide decent pigmentation. Both of them have the vanilla fragrance. This lipstick can be worn any time of the year.

MAC Lipstick - Flowerscope from Veluxe A Trios Collection

It's a beautiful pink shade with blue undertone.

  

MAC Lipstick - Quelle Surprise from Veluxe A Trios Collection

This lipstick is deep purple berry, with little bit of pink to it. It doesn't look all purplish and dark. Suitable for all skintones.

I am wearing these lipsticks with minimal makeup. I hope this post is useful for some girls. Happy makeup-ing !

My favourite perfumes for Office/daily use from my Collection 2015 !

I go crazy when I find  miniature perfume bottles in store, and I have quite a collection. Some of them are from Estee Lauder, Marc Jacobs, Bvlgari, Gucci etc. I also have small roller ball or spray bottles too. I will do a separate post about it.

For now it's about the perfumes I widely used during 2015 and left with empty bottles now. I have only been using Burberry for years later I started experimenting other brands. I am posting some perfumes from my experience.

Marc Jacobs Daisy - Mini perfumes (Daisy EDT, Daisy Eau So Fresh EDT)

I found them in Sephora and bought couple of them as gift. These minis are from their limited edition collection would be on and off, they sometimes mix it up with their other perfumes. These to bottles come for $15, 4 ml each. Ideal to gift, travel, carry around in your bag. I went ahead and kept on my office desk lol. They look cute with the daisy patterned lid.

The perfume is sweet and alluring with fruity floral notes. It was never over powering. I am allergic to strong smell but this went well.

• Daisy EDT - Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods 
• Daisy Eau So Fresh - Natural Raspberry, Grapefruit, Pear, Violet, Wild Rose, Apple Blossom, Musks, Cedarwood, Plum.
  

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle EDP 35 ml

I always wanted to try something from Chanel. They have a wide range perfumes several of them are classics which includes No 5, No19,  Chance, Coco Mademoiselle. I have the habit of buying perfumes in 30 ml and seldom go for 50/75 ml. This would help me finish it fast and try something else. The cost factor also matters when it comes to luxury. Anyways this was a hit, I got compliment in work place and people often asked what perfume I use as it smells really nice. It's feminine and chic. Again not over powering even though it's EDP. It's filled with floral fruity notes. I am not sure about the cost though as I bought this in Dec 2014 in Sephora. 

It's a classic piece and the bottle is still there in my closet I sometime get a whiff of it. I would definitely buy this again. This scent is suitable for all ages.

Notes : Bergamot, orange, jasmine, rose, patchouli, vetiver, white musks, vanilla.

Christian Dior - Hypnotic Poison EDT - 30 ml

I adored this perfume bottle every time I visited Sephora or Macys. Dior has some perfumes in similar package Pure Poison, Poison, Dune etc. This comes in a red bottle with purple cap. The bottle itself is Classy, Attractive, Sexy, Seductive and beautiful. The fragrance is all vanilla and soft. It would be a perfect evening perfume for romantic moments. I wear it to work and for other occasions as well. It's worth the money and definitely a good investment. 

Notes: Bitter Almond, Caraway Spice, Sambac Jasmine, Cinnamon, Tuberose, Vanilla, Musk, Mosses, Jucarunda Wood. 

Style - Hypnotizing. Extravagant. Bewitching.
