Revlon Colorstay Longwear Nail Enamel - Rich Raspberry(250) Review

I have a new liking for Revlon Nail polishes now, ever since I tried they Gel envy collection and Long wear nail polishes.

I bought this from Flipkart. These are available in almost all top sellers in India (Purplle / Nykaa / NewU / Amazon) and many more. The quantity is 11.7 ml and priced at Rs 350. Flipkart is currently selling for Rs 252/- Isn't that a great deal now. So if you want one go grab yours now !!

Rich Raspberry is a gorgeous raspberry pink color. It;s not red to clarify. The formula is smooth and thick to give a fine glossy finish in single coat. Revlon says to do two coats. But I have done single coat and the pictures are below. I am sure it would give a salon manicure finish with 2 coats of nail polish and a top coat. This color suits my deep skin tone, so I bet it's suitable for all skin tone girls.

It lasted on me for over a week without chipping, with top coat. Pretty color ; Good Brand ; will definitely buy again !

Lorea'l Paris Color Riche Le Vernis Nail Polish - Insolent Magenta (504) Review

This is the second nail polish I tried from Lorea'l Paris Collection. I huge fan of Pink and this is just perfect for party or any occasion or work, it doesn't matter. 

I wore this for this Easter which just passed by. All Lorea'l Paris Nail polish comes in similar pack, a small cute bottle. The quantity is less (5ml), and priced at Rs 250 in India. You can look for offers in Flipkart / Purplle / NewU / Nykaa; Many vendors sell them in India.

Color is beautiful Magenta, very chic with fine shimmers which is only visible on a close look. It's a must have color. It suits all skin tone fair to deep. I am on dusky complexion, and all my friends liked it. I did some nail art with Golden glitters, was very pretty for the occasion. 

Single coat is more than sufficient, gives very good coverage. Considering the quantity in the bottle I want to preserve this for future use. I had this on for good 8 days with top coat, as usual I had to take it off for next one. I presume it would last longer with a top coat.

Lakme Absolute Sculpt Hi-definition Matte Lipstick - Coco Shot Review

Hi Girls !

The last lipstick I have from this collection, is Coco Shot. Yes It is brown. Finally something better than Coffee Shot. These lipsticks were priced at Rs 700. The good news now is Flipkart is selling for 630/- Hurry if you are looking for something from this range. Here is the direct link. 

Coco Shot as the name says it's intense dark brown. The color would look rich on fair to medium skin tone girls. On dusky skin tone, like I am a MAC NC45, it kind of looks dull. I bought this as I wanted a brown color. This is a good color for a quick casual look when you really don't have time for makeup like we wear lipgloss. I go for my driving class in the morning and obviously don;t have time and don't feel like doing any just dab a bit of this for the color pay off.

I am happy with this purchase. It gives good color pay off, good coverage with little lipstick, long wear time.

Ensure you wear lip balm underneath as this dries up to matte finish in less than an hour. This is suitable for office as well, not too dark or bright just apt.

I am wearing this with a plain look, no foundation and no real eye makeup.

Lakme Absolute Sculpt Hi-definition Matte Lipstick - Red Flames Review

Another review for Lakme New lipstick from the latest trendy collection 'Lakme Absolute Sculpt Hi-definition Matte Lipstick'. This is Red flames. Yes true, red flames just like it.

Now about the lipstick, it's a Red with the tint of orange like flame. It's beautiful on deep skin tone girls. Like all other lipsticks it's easy to apply either from tube or brush. For a casual look apply slightly from tube and blend with your lips. For more intense color use a lip brush to apply two layers, which would define your lips and make it look full and pretty.

Good coverage, good wear time. Lipstick dries out after half an hour or so, so it's highly recommended to have little lip balm underneath.

Lakme Absolute Sculpt Hi-definition Matte Lipstick - Burgundy Affair Review

As promised here I am with pictures of me wearing this lipstick. I bought this lipstick from Flipkart. Not sure if other retailers are selling it online yet. They are priced at Rs 700.

Burgundy Affair is a deep red color. The texture is smooth on application, giving a nice matte finish. It just goes well with NC45 (MAC) deep skin tone. You can apply directly from tube or use a brush. I applied directly from the tube, just one layer very good coverage. It isn't as sharp as other 3 I reviewed, as I used a brush to outline and fill in the color. That way it's well defined and looks sharp. For a more casual look simply swipe and blend well. It;s little difficult to apply directly from the tube as it's flat most of the time the color just goes out.

Lipstick dries out after half an hour or so, so it's highly recommended to have little lip balm underneath. Wear time is good, with or without meal.

MAC Viva Glam Lip Palette Review - Viva Glam All swatches - NC45

Hello Girls,

I am late with this post again. But MAC Viva Glam is still hot and available in market. It might be useful for anyone who is looking out for it. Here are the swatches of Viva Glam 1 - Viva Glam 6 on NC 45.

It costed $40 for 6 shades, good buy.

I bought this palette during their promotional sale last Fall. And it was on hot product many stores went out of stock quickly. Macy's helped me to order from different state, and I was only too happy to get it :)

All the shades are lovely and suitable for dusky / olive / deep Skin tone girls. I will soon post pictures of each shade on me.

I like the palette as it's travel friendly.

Here are the swatches for you. It looks differently on fair skin - medium skin tone girls.

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick - Mauve it up (440) Review - Deep Indian Skin

I have been wanting to write this review for more than a month, I had the pictures and the swatch. Finally settled to post all pending reviews .

I bought this from Target priced around $8. I am a huge fan of Mauve Pink Shades hence bought it.

The lipstick case is purple in color and beautiful. You would not find the brand name anywhere on the case except for the label.

Lipstick color is a deep pinkish mauve with tint of purple added to it, with shimmers. This is how it loos on dusky skin tone. The formula is smooth and glides easily on application, it's very moisturizing and the coverage is good. Wear time is decent, does not bleed even in hot weather. It smells like some candy while applying and vanishes almost immediately.  

This color is suitable to all Indian skin tone, and very much wearable to office or daily wear.

This is how it looks on me, without a single bit of makeup.

Elizabeth Arden Lipgloss Swatch Review - Deep Indian Skintone

Hello All,

I have never had experience on Elizabeth Arden Makeup except for their perfume collection. This came as a value gift set, with a mobile pouch. I was crazy with value sets sale during last thanks giving.

The shades are Passion Fruit, Sunset, Iridescent Mauve and Latte. Below are the swatches.

Passion Fruit - Magenta / Fuchsia Pink color with light shimmer. It's very much wearable by deep / dusky / olive skin tone girls.

Sunset - Rich Orange based color. I haven;t tried this yet though. Will post picture soon.

Iridescent Mauve - This is color every one fall in love with. Beautiful Mauve Pink Color , how ever when applied on deep skin tone individual it looks like a nude color. The color didn't come visible after multiple application.

Latte - As the name suggest it's a brown almost nude color without any shimmer. Suitable for all skin tone girls.

Wear time is less. Suitable to wear when you venture out in hot weather for a quick shopping or so. As after meals it totally disappears without any trace.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy - Queen of Hearts (600) Review (dark Indian Skin)

Gel nails are the current trend along with nail art. As Gel nail manicure is expensive for each week, you can take advantage of the gel nail polishes available. In India we have collection of Gel nail polishes from Lakme, Revlon, Avon there might be more I am not aware of yet. Revlon Gel Nail polishes have been in the market for some time now.

Queen of Hearts is a beautiful regular red shade. Hence it's wearable by all Indian skin tone, fair to deep skin girls. The brush is nice, formula is thick and just right to give a classy finish. It gives opaque finish in single coat itself, but it's good have 2 coats to get the gel look. 

I am not wearing top coat in the below picture as I had to do some nail art.

Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy - Full House Review (dark Indian Skin)

I loved having gel nail manicure when in USA, I missed that here in India. But have an alternate Gel Nail polish. I have tried the ones from Lakme, and posted some reviews in my blog. My latest acquisition is from Revlon called Revlon Color stay Gel Envy Collection. I have bought several colors from this range, and this is my second review.

These nail polishes are imported, they are not yet listed in Revlon India Website. Revlon describes these nail polishes as :

"Create salon-quality color in 30 vibrant shades with our revolutionary 2-step system. Brush on the base + color in one, and then finish with the protective ColorStay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat™ for superior strength. Together, they create vivid color, brilliant shine and gorgeous life-resistant wear"

 Full House is a turquoise shade. This shad though looks lovely might look washed out on deep Indian skin tone and very much wearable for others. I did some nail art on top to balance the look. Two coats of this nail polish will give a salon manicure finish, believe it or not.

The brush is nice, formula is just right to give a classy finish in two coats. I have the pictures below with one coat of nail polish, without any top coat. Just the nail polish. It;s shiny but wears off in 3 - 4 days without top coat, especially if you do lot of cleaning, cooking etc. 

Would meet you all soon with another Revlon Color from this range. Happy Nail painting !!!!
