Estee Lauder Pure Color Gloss - Review (Brazen Berry, Wired Copper)

Hey beauties out there !

I thought of reviewing the lip glosses from one of the popular brands Estee Lauder. They have been applauded for their makeup. I got this lip gloss as part of their Limited Edition Color Portfolio Palette. I shall post pictures about the palette separately. These two lip glosses came along with that.

1. 04 - Brazen Berry (Shine)
2. 13 - Wired Copper (Shimmer)

As the name suggests one has shine and other has shimmery finish this can be identified through the glass itself. The outcome is very sheer, you can't actually make out the color. Although I have used them few times now, I am not very happy with these products. It's too sticky on lips though it dries out gradually. Do not have long wear power, I do not remember the hours but does not last beyond 4 hours. You would want to top it up.

I usually use them for days when I am in hurry or lazy makeup day where I don;t have to line my lips or apply lipstick. This comes in handy, goes with any dress without worry.

You might want to line your lips and fill with lip pencil before applying this gloss for a more bold look. I haven't tried though. If asked to rate I would give a 3/5.

Chambor Rouge Plum+ Lipstick 751 Shade review

Hello All,

I have been using this lipstick for close to a year not regularly though. Thought would write a review about it with pictures as there aren't any for this shade.

Chambor is a renowned brand in India and expensive too. I was then looking for lipsticks which moisturizes the lip yet stands out with color. This is my second lipstick from Chambor and I am totally loving it.

Price - I paid around Rs. 750 for 2.5 gm price seem to be over Rs. 800 now.

The lipstick color is a mauve with slight pink/purple combination. Texture is creamy, soft while applying and gives good coverage. It's highly moisturizing and has SPF 15. This shade suits well for almost all Indian skin tone making it a big plus. It brightens the face even if you do not wear face makeup. Has a good lasting power. Do not have the shiny glitters or glossy effect. Suitable for office.

Only sad thing about this is pricey for the quantity, but worth it when compared to Lakme Absolute Lipsticks. I am planning to buy couple more shades from this collection.

MAC Pro Lip Palette / 6 Editorial Red - Swatches

Hello Everyone, MAC is known for it's popular red lip colors. They are pricey when purchased separately compared to the palette with 6 colors and 1 g of each, it's a best deal when most of us do not fully use a lipstick which is a waste of money. I ordered this online as they sell this palette only on Pro Stores here in US not sure about India.

The shades are pretty and I have posted separately pictures wearing each of these colors. The palette comes with three colors each of Matte and Creme Sheen finish.

 Price: 40 USD, 6g (1g per color)

The Palette comes in a travel friendly case, you can carry a retractable Lip brush with you. The Palette has the color names on it's base which is easier when you are unfamiliar to these colors as everything appears red.

All the colors are wearable to medium to dark skin ladies, except for Lady Danger. Wear it only if you can carry yourself with confidence as it's a bold Orange based Red.

MAC Lipstick - Lady Danger on Medium dark Indian Skin

Hi Beauties !!

This one is the last picture I have with MAC lipsticks, will continue when I have another picture for different shade. Many red lipsticks from MAC have been applauded and Lady Danger is one of those appraised lipsticks. 

I personally would not have purchased it; as it came along with the 6 Editorial Red palette I tried it on. I am not a huge fan of orange and have never worn one. The result wasn't disappointing though.

Lady Danger is a Orange based red. Has a matte finish, not suitable for dry lips. The color is beautiful however it doesn't stand out so much like other reds on medium to dark skin although it's wearable. It does not go with all colors of dress hence I paired with black dress and minimal eye makeup. 

It stays for 5 - 6 hours, even if you have a meal. It's a perfect daytime wear lipstick.  As it is matte try wearing a lip balm underneath. If you want to use a liner go for MAC Redd Lip pencil this is the exact match for this lipstick.

I would wear this occasionally with right dress and good mood :)

MAC Good To Be Bad Lipstick on Medium to Dark Indian Skintone

Hello gorgeous ladies !

Love yourself that's the key. This lipstick that I am going to talk about is MAC Sheen Supreme Lipstick - Good to be bad. Isn't that a nice name for a lipstick shade :)

It comes in a nice round sleek case with magnetic base. Not just the case the shade too is beautiful on medium to deep skin tone. I was super excited to try it. I wore the next day I bought it :)

Price: 18 USD (3.6 g)

This is another perfect color for Fall / Winter. This is a deep burgundy color, like the name suggests it's not really sheer but yes moisturizing and glossy. It's super light and very much wearable. The texture is too buttery and makes it a bit difficult to apply inside your lips. It often goes outside my lip line and I use a tissue to wipe it off. It lasts for 4 - 5 hours and leaves behind the stain of the color.

If you have medium to dark skin tone like me, try to pair it with warm color clothes.

As far as makeup goes I am wearing MAC Studio Fix on the right and Clinique Oil Free Matte finish foundation on the left. Eyes are neutral as I wanted the lip color to stand out.

MAC Lipstick - Cyber on medium to dark Indian skintone

Hi Everyone :),

Another lipstick from MAC. I have been writing about MAC and only MAC so far, wait there are so much stuffs in queue I just need to write a bit and post those pictures :) Lot of work ha ha ha.

I didn't actually go to by Cyber, it just happened. I owned a dark shade called "Grape Blossom" from Lakme it has matte finish and I liked it very well. That was almost getting over, although I was in the lookout for another similar shade I just bought Cyber after checking it's swatch on my hands. Cyber isn't exactly the shade of Grape Blossom though.

Price : $16 for 3 g.

Cyber is a perfect color for fall/winter it's purely my personal opinion. It's a deep dark purple shade if you are purple lover you will like this. It has a satin finish, easy to apply if your lips are well moisturized.

It gives a good coverage and stays on longer throughout the day. It would still have a the trace of the color even after a meal. It didn't dry out my lips. I loved wearing this with warm green colors. I don't think I look like a ghost ;) If you can carry a bold color like this, please do try. 

I did a green based eye makeup to match my dress and thus neutralizing the look.

MAC Lipstick All Out Gorgeous on medium dark Indian Skintone

I was in search of MAC lipsticks that has rich moisturizing agent. I stumbled upon the lovely colors from their Mineralize Rich Lipstick collection. I fell in love with two colors All out gorgeous and Lush Life and I bought them without even trying. I will write a separate post on comparing these two shades..

All Out Gorgeous comes in a neat nice package. This lipstick case looks chubbier than their regular ones and it's base has magnet attached which ensures the cap is intact while closed.

Price : 22 USD for 3.6 gm

It's bit pricey for extra .6 gms compared to their other 3g lipsticks. The lipstick is a deep nice red color, very light and suitable for everyday wear. You color does come out very well in single application and it's build-able as desired. It looks slightly shiny when applied but fades away after a while. It does not leave your lips dry.

The color looks just nice on medium to dark skin tone. I paired green shirt and brown pants with this makeup. I liked wearing it. It lasts for good 5 - 6 hours without a meal. It does transfer on glass which is pretty annoying almost all lipsticks does this isn't?

MAC Dare you (Cremesheen) Lipstick on medium to dark Indian Skintone

Hi Girls!

I am happy to write about another red lipstick from MAC called 'Dare You'. This one is from the same Editorial Red Palette which I first wore on my birthday a week ago.

The lipstick is a deep brownish red color making it suitable for all skin tones. As the lipstick says, it's of creme-sheen finish. It's very soft on application as it has the creamy texture and has a glossy look to it.

• Keeps the lips moisturized
• Do not feel heavy on lips, can apply couple of layers
• Can stay for good 5 - 6 hours if lip pencil is used as first layer.
• Has a slight fragrance which you can feel while applying, but nothing after that

I used the lip color from the palette of 6 Editorial Reds from MAC that totally costed me 40 USD. I believe the price of regular lipstick is 16 USD (3g). 

Anyone who like to wear red can give a try, and it's suitable for office too. Does not look too bright or give a ghostly look.

I have used Estee Lauder Foundation and powder to brighten up my face so that lip-color can pop out. I am not good on eye makeup tried to have a neutral look with a black eye liner.

I will try to have the swatches of all reds from the palette and post it separately. This is how Dare You looks on me.

MAC Ruby Woo lipstick on dark Indian Skintone

Hello Ladies!!

I am glad to write about the most popular and raved "Red" lip color from MAC called 'Ruby Woo'. Who doesn't like red isn't? I always envy models and actress who wears bright red and carry themselves very well. Recently I started liking Red and fell in love with several MAC lipsticks. I didn't try any of their red shades on the counter instead looked at swatches and reviews before making my purchase.

Most of us end up having plenty of lipsticks and do not use them regularly that goes to bin someday. I was head over heals in love with this Pro Palette. It's called Mac Pro Palette - 6 Editorial Reds. They sell this only on pro stores and hence I had to buy online. MAC's packaging was amazing, I was so excited to try them the next day. However I have only worn 3 of them from that palette so far. I will write my opinion individually.

This comes in a cute little travel friendly case. The shade names are at the base of the case making it easier to identify. Total quantity is 6 g making 1 gm per color. The cost of this palette is $40. Totally worth the purchase especially when you wear red occasionally.

Ruby Woo is a bright Red color, not orange and has a matte finish to it. Due to it's matte finish you might find it dry. You need to exfoliate and moisturize your lips well before applying this color. You would also need a lip brush to use this product. It has a good staying power of 5 - 6 hours.

I simply applied regular lip balm underneath before lining my lips. I have uses MAC Brick lip liner to outline my lips and fill my lips with the same pencil first. After then applied couple of layers and that's it. No gloss. Re-applied after my meals and it stayed till night.

You can pull this off with Cream, Black or White color dress. I am wearing this to work and it doesn't make you look like a clown. I loved wearing this. Here are some of the pictures. I am matched to NC45 skintone by MAC and this is how it looks on me.

This palette would go a long way and I am happy using this product.

MAC Rebel Lipstick on deep Indian skintone

I have always been fascinated about lipsticks the most unlike all other makeup.  Everything else has been very confusing right from the order of application and the type of products to buy. It’s only been few months since I started wearing makeup; yes of course with lipstick. Face makeup is incomplete without a lipstick or gloss.

I stumbled upon the renowned brand MAC only couple of months ago. I fell in love with their products. I have always in my life stayed away from dark lipsticks like brown, coffee, red, maroon etc. I love to wear those bright red and burgundy colors but never even once tried them on the store counters too. I had made up my mind it won’t suit my skin tone and end of the story until I saw some pictures of dark skinned women wearing them and I decided to give a try. It worked like a charm.

The lipstick comes in a regular pack, and the lipstick base weigh a bit as it has magnet in it. I realized all of MAC lipsticks I bought have them. 

Quantity – 3g

Price - $16 Approx. 960 INR

The product has a satin finish to it, it glides easily
while applying. You do not really need a brush for application. I have warm skin tone and matched to NC45 deep honey kind of shade. So that’s how I describe my skin tone while buying MAC products. This lipstick is not very dark on my skin tone and it’s very much presentable. If you have similar skin tone it would look beautiful on you. It stays for 4-6 hours if you just do one layer. I have the habit of touching up after lunch and I can go on till 7 pm with it until I remove my makeup at night.

Only complaint is it’s a bit pricey. If you like this color and would like to give a try good decision hurray! If not MAC you can buy similar shades of other brand who cares isn't? You can wear this lipstick with dark or warm color clothes and any season.                        

I would rate 4.9 out of 5 just because of the price.
